About Allison Riegel: Allison was 12 when her mom brought home a sparkly, 80s desert-yoga VHS and suggested they follow along with it on the living room floor. The unassuming video would initiate a deep, life-long devotional practice, proving a profound source of healing and cosmic connection. Honoring the depth of hatha yoga, Allison leads heart-centered classes that are dynamic, fluid and compassionate, supporting students' innate somatic intelligence. She is a nurturing and intuitive teacher, allowing the collective energy of the students to inform the unfolding of the class. Allison encourages deep connection to the breath, invokes the power and grace of inner spaciousness, and encourages ongoing creative self-exploration in the yogic process. Allison completed her 200 hour teacher training with Saul David Raye in 2014 and a 300 hour Yoga Therapy training with Sarahjoy Marsh in 2016. She resides in Portland, Oregon, where she works as a somatic psychotherapist, mother and artist.
